A piece I made out of air dry clay, painted with acrylics and varnished. This piece is also functional and can be used as an incense holder. The incense is held between the toe gap of one of the «Tabi» shoes. Tabi shoes, inspired by traditional Japanese socks, have been popularized by the French fashion house Maison Margiela. The pair of Tabis are placed on a Persian carpet, which to me, represents the comfort and luxury of a warming home.
